Tyson Fury has been told his ‘legs are done’ following his recent win over Francis Ngannou, despite the Briton being prepared to stay in the sport.

George Groves recently expressed his belief that the 35-year-old could retire from the game following his unconvincing win in Saudi Arabia late last month.

However, Fury’s manager has dismissed those claims, with Spencer Brown saying: “There is absolutely no truth to it, absolutely not.

“Tyson is raring to go.”

Fury is next set to fight Oleksandr Usyk.

The 35-year-old was originally scheduled to step into the ring with the Ukrainian on December 23 in Riyadh.

However, that fight has now been pushed back after Fury suffered an injury following his clash with Ngannou.

Instead, the pair will fight in early 2024 with a new date to be announced in February.

However, former British boxer Johnny Nelson has warned Fury that his legs are ‘finished’ and he is not the same as in years past.

Speaking to Seconds Out he said: “Tyson didn’t deserve to win, but he got the win because he landed more shots because of his pedigree, and we know who he is.

“So that’s why he got approved.”

He added: “Francis Ngannou, that was his first professional fight, and if he gets the win, you can’t complain.

“So, he was either unprofessional, or Tyson Fury has started slipping, and his legs are sore.

“Tyson Fury, his movement, if you’re saying you’ve trained, your legs are gone.

“I’m saying something that no one has really picked up on.”

Herbert then boldly said that fans were beginning to see a decline in Fury, despite the 35-year-old being undefeated in the game so far.

“I think his legs are gone,” he said.

“If you look at his movement, it took him six rounds to find his range.

“this man [Ngannou] Was clipping her, putting pressure on her. This man did not fight a single professional boxing fight. This should never have happened in a million years.

“Even if Tyson Fury got underestimated, Tyson Fury’s beating and movement should have been enough to keep him away.

“I just thought, ‘His legs are gone.’ It happens to all of us sometimes.

“I’m telling you now: I think this is the beginning of Tyson Fury’s decline.”

The Gypsy King has also been scrutinized for the people he surrounds himself with – insisting there are a lot of ‘yes men’ in his camp.

“He’s surrounded by people who are afraid to tell him the truth because there’s so much involved,” Herbert said.

“They don’t want to lose their jobs. If he barks at them, they will back off because they value their work.

“If you suddenly can’t take constructive criticism or advice it will disable your growth.

“Everyone around you will say, ‘Yes, sir. No, sir.’

“Shane [Fury] was okay. Shane was in that camp and he was right in saying that there are a lot of people who say yes.”
