“Mukesh Ambani has donated along with his family members 2.51 crore to Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. This sacred endeavour, the Ram temple in Ayodhya, holds deep cultural significance,” he said in a statement.

Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries had declared a holiday across all its offices in the country on January 22 in view of the Ayodhya Ram temple ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony.

Ambani and his wife, Nita Ambani, founder and chairperson of Reliance Foundation, attended the consecration ceremony at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya yesterday along with their children Anant, Akash and Isha Ambani and their colleagues Radhika Merchant, Shloka Mehta and Anand Piramal. . Respectively.

Nita Ambani said, “This is a historic day”, while Mukesh Ambani said, “Lord Ram is coming today, January 22 will be Ram Diwali for the entire country.”

To celebrate, Ambani’s home ‘Antilia’ in South Mumbai was illuminated with red lights and slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’.

Apart from the residence of the Reliance MD, several other monuments and public structures were illuminated as the country celebrated the Ram temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya on Monday. On Saturday, Mumbai’s Bandra-Worli Sea Link was also seen illuminated with the image of Lord Ram and the text ‘Jai Shri Ram’.

Ayodhya airport welcomes 100 chartered flights

Ayodhya’s airport saw a surge of around 100 chartered flights on January 22 as attendees flocked to the city for the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple.*

Confirming the significant turnout, an official of a major private jet operator told PTI that the airport managed around 100 flights on Monday. Those on board these flights included corporate heads and notable personalities such as Amitabh Bachchan, Ambani, Lakshmi N Mittal and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.
