The terrorist group behind the kidnapping of Luis Diaz’s father has vowed to keep his word and free him.
The Liverpool star rescued a point for his side in a 1-1 Premier League draw with Luton on Sunday.
It was an emotional moment for Diaz, who then took off his shirt to display a message calling for his father’s release.

“The area is still militarized, they are making flyovers, landing troops, broadcasting and offering rewards as part of intensive search operations.
“This situation is not allowing a release plan to be executed quickly and safely, where Mr. Luis Manuel Diaz is in no danger.
“If the crackdown in the area continues, the release will be delayed and the risks will increase.
“We understand the suffering of the Diaz Marulanda family, to whom we say that we will keep our word to release them unilaterally as soon as we have security guarantees for the development of the liberation operation.”
After scoring for Liverpool at Luton, Diaz emotionally pleaded with the group to let ‘Mane go.

Diaz’s mother, Silenis Marulanda, was also kidnapped late last month.
