The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday claimed that the BJP has threatened to topple the Kejriwal government. AAP ministers alleged that BJP offered Gave Rs 25-25 crore to seven of its MLAs in Delhi to leave the party.

However, the BJP rejected the allegation and challenged AAP to reveal the names of the MLAs and people who had approached them with the offer.

BJP leader Kapil Mishra said, “Arvind Kejriwal is lying again as he has been doing for the last seven times.” Not even once could he tell which phone number was used to contact him, who contacted him and where the meeting took place. He just gives statements and goes into hiding… His associates are in jail, and he is repeatedly evading ED summons because he knows he does not have answers to ED’s questions…”

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal posted on Twitter that he had “contacted” seven of his party’s MLAs and warned that the AAP convenor would be arrested soon.

Delhi CM said the callers claimed that they were in touch with 21 AAP MLAs. MLAs were promised Rs 25 crore each and a BJP ticket to contest elections after toppling the Delhi government.

He said that all seven AAP MLAs have refused to leave the party.

“BJP has launched ‘Operation Lotus 2.0’, and is trying to topple the democratically elected AAP government in Delhi. BJP has contacted 7 Aam Aadmi Party MLAs and said that soon Arvind Kejriwal will be arrested, after which there will be a split among the AAP MLAs. They are in touch with our 21 MLAs, using whom our aim is to topple the Delhi government. Those 7 MLAs have been offered Rs 25 crore each… Operation Lotus is a strategy used by the BJP to come to power in states where they are not democratically elected… Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Arunachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh Examples are…” Atishi said.

According to Delhi CM, many conspiracies were hatched in the last nine years to topple the AAP government in Delhi, but they all failed.
